STOUGHTON, Mass. (Associated Press) - A Mississippi man who grew up in Massachusetts goes to great lengths for a good pizza.
About 1,400 miles to be exact.
David Schuler returned to Jackson, Miss., last weekend with 150 pies from the Town Spa in his home town of Stoughton (STOWE'-tun), just outside Boston.
It's a tradition he started years ago when he couldn't find a good slice in Mississippi.
The 150 frozen, vacuum-sealed pies he returned with was a record for him. They cost $1,200.
He made the 16-state trek in 24 hours, munching on Town Spa pizzas he kept on the passenger seat.
Restaurant manager Kerry Hughes tells The Enterprise of Brockton ( http://bit.ly/nsJaAO) he ships pizzas as far as California and Florida, but Schuler is his best out-of-state customer.

People up here actually think pizza is supposed to cost around $15-$20/pie so often we eat a quality slice or two or we splurge on a pizza. (of course you can get a discount if you buy 1000). If you are buying your pizza with coupons 2 for $20 - well its not the same thing.
Also, you can pretty much find good pizza all over the US in most cities - its just not mainstream as it is in the New York area.
