Swallowable Perfume To Come In Capsule Form (VIDEO)

The world of perfume is getting a complete makeover. Now scientists are developing scent in a swallowable capsule form, reports GreenMuze.com.

Designed by Harvard University synthetic biologist Sheref Mansy and Australian body architect Lucy McRae, the pill enables the human skin to emit a genetically unique scent.

The way it works? Fragrance molecules are excreted through the skins surface while you perspire. According to McRae's website Swallowable Parfum:

"The potency of scent is determined by each individuals acclimatization to temperature, stress, exercise or sexual arousal...Once absorbed the skin becomes a platform, an atomizer; a biologically enhanced second skin synthesized directly from the natural processes of the body."


Though Mansy and McRae are still in the research phase and there's no word on a release date, just think of the possibilities for those suffering with allergies if this invention comes to fruition. Check out the official video that paints a picture of what's in store.

That had to be the worse promotional video I have ever seen for a product or idea. It made you want nothing to do with this thing. the bases is you only get scent when you sweat and for thise of us in cold climate we just waste money. Dumb idea.

That stuff has been out for years... When I got into Great Lakes Navy Boot Camp in August, 1979, In the bathroom it was scralled on the side of the stall,"Flush Hard, the Chow Hall is 400 yards away!!" I thought it was funny, until I ate there for the first time. Of course, you sweat out what you eat.

Wow! Medical science can't seem to cure cancer or muscular dystrophy despite decades of fundraisng and billions of dollars spent on research yet they can invent a hard-on pill for old coots (Viagra) and an internal cologne that makes you sweat sweet. Now if you have a terminal illness you'll still die but your rotting corpse will smell nice.

Well, doesn't this sound exciting. Hmm I was wondering what happens when you come down with a nasty case of the flu and you are sweating up storm, so I guess you will smell good while being sick....but i like the part about --- "The potency of scent is determined by each individuals acclimatization to temperature, stress, exercise or sexual arousal"...OH YES sexual arousal, well I guess I be smelling good all of the time.....ha, ha

There has been, for a very long time, a general body deoderizer that's made up of concentrated parsley in an oil base - either soy or safflower. You swallow one every day (they're very small) and it eliminates body odors and bad breath. So why would someone want to add perfume to that? Good hygiene is usually the key, and if you want to get rid of food odors, take the parsley thing. I think the idea of taking something further to add perfume is dangerous. My stepmother said her dog's pee stains the grass and her vet offered a pill that would change the PH of the dog's urine so it won't stain the grass! There's even a pill for dogs so that their tears won't stain their fur. Who knows what that kind of body chemistry changes would be required to get those results? And now they're offering chemicals to people to do things like make a certain scent? It's scary the risks people are willing to take, from full anesthesia for the sake of plastic surgery to taking a pill so they smell like flowers, to having their eyes tattooed with permanent eyeliner. Not worth the risks!

I am so highly allergic to perfumes, creams, lotion and perfumes. I can't wear them. If I am in a store like Macy's and see the perfumes I can't even walk by that section without pulling out an inhaler. Imagine what would happen to me if I took one of those pills. Death from the inside out. I mean is this the best type of invention for the vain people of the world to come up with??? Stupidity.

Who's "BEHIND" this glade ??? If your best girlfriend fart's will it smell like cherry or vanilla air freshner ??? lol Have to be some fruit smell thru your skin because you wouldnt want to smell like you been drinking alcohol !!! : ) A PD officer would be maam been drinking ??? You smell like strawberry daquiri... : )
