ALLENTOWN, Pa. -- A Pennsylvania man admitted repeatedly punching and kicking his wife's 2-year-old daughter because he believed the girl was a spoiled princess who needed to be toughened up.

Twenty-five-year-old Brandon Bishop pleaded guilty Wednesday to aggravated assault for a series of assaults between March and May.

Police say the abuse was reported by a relative who noticed the girl was limping and missing clumps of hair. Officers who interviewed Bishop say he told them he beat the girl to make her tougher.

Matthew Falk, a Lehigh County prosecutor, says Bishop made no effort to hide the abuse from his wife.

The girl's mother, Candace Watts, pleaded guilty Wednesday to child endangerment and agreed to testify at Bishop's Jan. 25 sentencing.

The couple got married a few days before their arrests in June.

He's going to prison. Even there, they're not fond of child abusers. He WILL get toughened up. You can rely on the inmates to see to that.

He did only what our government does with us. so either he is innocent or we need to send our government to jail too. - Although they do it for the profit of our parasites so that must make all the difference.

So, this is the little girl whose grandmother said no one cared because she was Black?! Here she was being beaten by the Mother's boyfriend, and the family Knew about it! When she came up missing no one Told about the insane boyfriend/husband? I guess we can all assume she's Dead now? Just another Stupid, ignorant Mother who thinks she has to let her boyfriends do anything they want to her precious little child? It makes me Sick! Not only did the Mother know, the Family knew and did Nothing about it! Thank god she got to be a Princes for a little while.

She was 2! Man - if you got to beat up on someone - which is pathetic - don't abuse a child. Well - don't abuse anyone but if you don't like something about a child - TALK to the parent. Not beat up the child. Geesh!

When are women going to realize that their boyfriends or husbands who are not the fathers of their children - THEY DO NOT LIKE YOUR CHILDREN! Again, men do not like or want other mens children. Why do they hook up with women with kids to begin with? That beats the heck out of me but third time: MEN DO NOT LIKE YOUR KIDS AND DO NOT WANT TO BE STEPFATHERS! Stay single and raise your kids alone for Gods sake!.

Two years old.....oh my that poor little thing. He will most likely be protected by the prison system. Blood baths that would likely occur when the news spread of his crime need to be avoided by the powers that be who are profiting from the prison remaining open. It will not be other prisoners, but the guards will see to it he lives in fear. Many of them are suffering from far worse personality disorders, control and anger issues than the actual prisoners.

What kind of mother even has to "wonder" what terrible things are being done to her child when she isn't around? The fact that he is a monster is obvious; she is as big a monster as he. Unfortunately, she is probably being given a pretty lenient deal in exchange for her testimony. Beat the s*it out of both of them.

It's not bringing children into the world that is hurting them, it's letting your boyfriend beat the crap out of them, that's the problem! Some stupid women think they have to let their "boyfriends" do Anything they want to their kids. What kind of a boy/man would think it's alright to beat a child, for Any reason? She was just a baby at 2 years old! So What if she was treated like a Princess? What business was it of his how this child was treated? Why are women So desperate to have a boyfriend that they accept this kind of behavior? Now she's Gone, Forever. Breaks my heart. The Mother needs to be charged too. It's her fault for not protecteding her little Princess! No worthy man would EVER lay a hand on his or anyone elses child.

I would agree but it's unlikely the beatings he gave this little girl lasted only a minute....so let's have him live with someone who hits back where he doesn't know when the next beating will be, how long it'll last or what will set off the abuse....so just a little tweaking to your idea! :)

We need to make North Dakota the US prison state. We need to give long prison sentences and make the criminal serve the full sentence. No early paroles. They can grow their own food, make their own clothesm maintain the facilities. It can have libraries, rehab facilities, schools for all levels including an accredited university and a vocational school.

Let them learn a trade, learn how to think and find a meaning in their lives. In the meantime, the riff raff of society is gone and not negativity impacting our society.

A Really great idea for ALL prisons! Growing their own food would save a lot of tax payer money too. Someone needs to jump on this for all prisons, everywhere. No body building equipment either, and small amounts of regulated TV too and NO Internet, ever. Prison is for punishment, not coddling! We pay the bill, we should have a say!
