The Abraham Lincoln look-alike pictured here is no zombie slayer or vampire hunter, but he is responsible for the recent robbery of a Houston bank, according to police.

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is asking for help identifying the suspect, whom they have dubbed the "Abe Lincoln Bandit." FBI Special Agent Shauna Dunlap told The Huffington Post that Abe is responsible for the June 30 robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank branch on Scarsdale Blvd. in Houston.

The suspect entered the bank at about 11:35 a.m. that morning and handed a teller a threatening note demanding money. The man then lifted his shirt and displayed a pistol he had stuffed in his waistband, police said.

After grabbing less than $100 in cash, the man fled on foot. Neither the suspect nor anyone present inside the bank was injured during the robber.

"It never ceases to amaze us, the different looks our bank robbers take on," Dunlap said. "The beard was something that was very unique about this particular individual, so that is why we nicknamed him with that particular nickname."

The Abe Lincoln Bandit is described as a white male, 5'9" to 5'11" tall, 180 to 210 pounds, with dark brown hair and a dark brown, long, Abraham Lincoln-like beard. He wore a dark cap and a dark shirt with white stripes.

Dunlap said authorities have received some leads in the case.

"I just talked to the lead investigator and we are following up on some tips we received through crime stoppers over the weekend," she said. The veteran FBI agent added, "He advised two of the witnesses believe the beard was real and one believes it could potentially be fake so it's just hard to say till we get him in custody."

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of the robber. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 713-222-8477 or the Houston Office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
