Krod Yotchomrang Finds Dead Cat Inside Sausage, Turns It Into 'Lucky' Shrine (VIDEO)

Finding a kitty skeleton in your sausage seems gross, but it turned out to be a lucky break for a woman in Thailand who turned the cat carcass into a shrine.

Krod Yotchomrang, a 52-year-old woman in Buri Ram, Thailand, recently cooked some sausages for her family when she noticed something strange inside one of them.

"I was cutting the third sausage when I noticed what looked like a small cat," she told the Bangkok Post. "We almost threw up when we realized we were eating the body of a kitten for dinner."

Most people would have thrown out the cat carcass (and the rest of the sausages), but not Yotchomrang. For some reason, she decided to create a shrine dedicated to the sausage kitty and prayed before it, Geobeats reported.

Once word got out in the neighborhood, her friends visited the shrine and also prayed. Amazingly, several won money in the local lottery afterwards so she is now convinced the kitty carcass can bring people luck, according to msnNOW.com.

Local officials are more skeptical, and are simply trying to figure out how the cat's remains got mixed with the sausage, according to Thai Rath, a Thai language website.

Long ago when i went to China town in downtown Boston, some of the people in line were talking about how the Cathay House was closed up permanently for serving cat, rat and dog meat to customers. Good thing i thought, i never went there. Seems as if a health inspector came without any notice and saw the skinned carcasses hanging from meat hooks. ( I always thought he was told ahead of time) even now i am really cautious of what is in some chinese restaurant food. It just doesn't taste like chicken or pork or beef, to me.

I pray to the Dead Sausage Kitten Gods that I can forget about reading this article, and that my local California Thai Cuisine joints do not import ANYTHING from Thailand to use my favorite dishes.
