Pret A Manger, a popular sandwich shop, has been playing Christmas music throughout some of its 36 New York City stores -- much to its customers' dismay. Several people have taken to Twitter to complain about the unseasonably cheery jingles that have reportedly been playing on an endless loop over the sound system for several days.

Employees said they have no control over the sound system themselves -- besides turning it on or off -- since the music choices are made by Pret's corporate office. According to the Gothamist, one employee confirmed that the tunes were a mistake and that the company is working to fix it.
