Take your teddy out of hiding ...

First Posted: 10/07/13 EDT Updated: 10/10/13 EDT

Too embarrassed to actually bring your stuffed bear to work or school today, but still want to celebrate your old friend? Whether you take 'Bring Your Teddy Bear to Work Day' very seriously or had no clue it existed, you've come to the right place.

Find a photo of your favorite stuffed toy or security blanket for the gallery below. Teddy can go solo, or feel free to share a great vintage (or current) pic with us. We may use your photo on AOL.com!

Update: It's getting late, so we've closed this gallery to go cuddle up with our favorite stuffed bears. Thanks for so many snuggly submissions!

My grandmother was a lady in all respects; her hair, makeup and nails were impeccable and she dressed up to go food shopping! She loved beautiful things, one of which was her black Persian lamb coat with silver mink cuffs and collar, which she wore to Mass every Sunday and for those once in a while special events. I was blessed to have her in my life for 33 years; when she passed we all kept some of her things that were special to her; one of the things I kept was her precious coat. My mother said I always loved beautiful things, just like my grandmother! My grandmother was tiny compared to me and there was no way to make her coat wearable, thus “Sophie” was born. Sophie of course is a lady, like her namesake, and has dressed up for this special day in her tiara and pearls. She is here today to honor the memory of those who have passed and cannot be with us today, but are always in our hearts.

I remember wanting a teddy bear very badly, and I found a tan bear that perfectly fit the “type” of teddy that my young mind insisted they should look like. It was the epitome of the classic teddy, in my opinion. Unfortunately, it cost more than what my Aunt wanted to pay, but after some discussion, during which I was clearly unrelenting, I got the bear I really wanted, much to the dismay of my Aunt and her empty pocketbook. The best part of the story is that I still have that little bear to this day, and I’ve managed to keep it in pretty good condition! Here is a picture of my 35 year old Teddy.
