Carol Hartsell is the Senior Comedy Editor of Huffington Post. She is also a comedy writer, producer and performer. Her work with writing/life partner, Sean Crespo, can be found at crespoandhartsell.tumblr.com.

She wrote and performed in the Off-Broadway show Shoot The Messenger from 2007-2009 alongside 'Daily Show' co-creator Lizz Winstead. In addition to weekly performances in NYC, the show travelled to LA, DC and Minneapolis, Minnesota during the Republican National Convention.

She has contributed to The Onion, was formerly the Director of Programming and Video Production for Comix comedy club, as well as the founder of humor Web site Drink at Work.com. In addition to booking and producing live comedy shows since 2005, she has shot, directed and edited numerous shorts for Drink at Work, as well as Lifetime, Bravo, NBC Universal, and more.

Originally from Alabama, she lives in New York with Sean, their dog Fenny, their cats Graham and Dr. Girlfriend. She likes Burt Reynolds, gardening and nothing else.

And while we're putting the finishing touches on our authentic, store-bought Thanksgiving meals, retail outlets are vying for our attention with ads filled with so many numbers and pictures of televisions it's stupefying.
